Disney World Bound!

Today we began a very long drive (16 hours to be exact) to Florida for a Disney vacation! We were all very excited as well as a little apprehensive (the parents anyway) since this would mark our longest road trip ever! We packed the car, got a few hours of sleep and hit the road at 4:30 am! The kids did NOT go back to sleep after getting in the car as we had hoped! I don't think we were on the road for 5 minutes when Jacob began to tell Eric how to drive. Shortly after that, the DVD player went on!
The trip went well and all according to plan! Part way down we remembered that the first week of March is bikers week in Daytona, consequently, tons of bikers either riding their bikes or trailering them down. It seemed like we were with the same group of annoying bikes the whole time!
My mom's cousins gave us a night at their timeshare for the night since our reservations did not start until Sunday. We stayed at Bonnet Creek Resort which is on Disney property but not a Disney resort. It was a beautiful condo with plenty of room for everyone since my parents, sister and Abby were already there! When we arrived, we had a little "family" birthday party for Allison, Eric and my Dad since all of their birthdays took place while my parents were in Florida.

Then off to bed!
