Cousins

Tonight was another photo session at the beach. This time with Allison, Jacob, & Abby. Getting all 3 to look at the camera AND smile was definately not as easy as it sounds! Abby was most interested in eating the sand! When it was all said and done, she was the most cooperative of the 3 of them!

Abby's 1st Ride!

Last night we went up to the boardwalk to let the kids go on a few rides. It was Abby's first exposure to rides! (Abby is my sister's daughter and is 7 mos. old) Jacob was in charge of holding her on and preventing her from climbing out while in motion and Allison was in charge of making sure she didn't cry! Both kids successfully fulfilled their "big cousin" roles and everyone got off the rides smiling!
Jacob also accomplished a monumental task last night! The Merry-Go-Round on the amusement pier we went to has a contraption that allows riders on the outside horses to reach out and grab silver rings off a wooden arm. He asked me to ride w/ him so that I could reach and get him some rings since Eric had done that for Allison last time and he couldn't reach the rings. So we went on and I strapped him in real tight and told him I'd hold him while he reached for the rings. First time round - Bingo - he got a ring then another and another! He was thrilled w/ his accomplishment! His goal was to get the gold ring which entitles you to a free ride. He didn't get the gold ring but was extremely happy with the rings he did get!

OC Gone Wild!

Yesterday we were sitting on the beach when we spotted this HUGE crowd walking down the beach at the waters edge. Upon closer examination, it was a group of guys (about 30 of them) walking down the beach chanting, and drinking and wearing speedos of all sorts! For those who do not know OC, this is not a normal sighting. Anyone who showed interest in them got quite the performance and watch out if they spotted you taking a picture! For fear of not wanting to be seen getting a photograph, I enabled my digital zoom! Here are best I could do!
